Changing IP address to post on Craigslist RealPVA
Very simple and easy way to change your ip address so that you can post all over the country.
1. Get area code specific phone numbers for the cities you wish.
2. Get a prepaid smart phone or a contract smart phone
3. Get the create a hotspot app or use your computer to post on to Craiglsit.
4. Email the html code to yourself that you want to use in your ad
5. copy and paste it into your first ad using your phone if you cant create a hotspot.
Each time you log onto your hotspot your ip address will automatically change. As long as you post your first ad with a good ip and area code specific phone number then you can log back into that account and post all your other ads and renew all your ads every 3 days.

The Ultimate Craigslist Posting Strategy
Lately I’ve been studying testing and implementing the best tactics
for Craigslist posting. I’ve been experimenting for over 4 months now,
and I’ve gotten measurably better responses (ad views and click-through
to my website) by using the strategies outlined below, and for the
first time ever, I’m sharing them with you.
Tip 1) Don’t Blend In.
Your first goal on Craigslist is to not get lost in the crowd. To view your ad, visitors have to find your title in the category page, which is easier said than done these days.
Anyone who’s spent more than 5 minutes on Craigslist understands that newer posts are always located at the top. Your goal as a poster is to be near the top when your audience is browsing. This is especially important for sections that receive hundreds of posts per day, and less important for those that receive only a handful.
Once your target has clicked on your ad title, the battle has just begun. You have to convince him or her that they need to take the next step.
To gauge the effectiveness of your ad, you HAVE to track it. I signed up for a free analytics account at getclicky.com which allows me to put a tiny image in the bottom of every ad, which effectively lets me see how many people viewed my ad. This measures how effective your title is.
The links on my ad all go to my website, which has Google Analytics installed (also a free service). I can see how much traffic I get from each ad, and the quality of that traffic (based on bounce rate, page views, time on site, etc.) . Then, I combine the data from my Craigslist account (which has my posting titles) with data from GetClicky (which tracks the number of views each title gets) and combine those with data from Google Analytics (which tells me which ads got visitors to my website) in a spreadsheet and run the numbers.
From this data, I can see if an ad gets 40 views but only 2 clicks to my website, I have a good title (depending on the category) but the ad needs quite a bit of work. By using this method to measure, analyze, and adjust my ads, I have optimized my Craigslist campaign! Now it’s your turn!

- Include the keywords for whatever you’re listing in the title. This way, users can search ‘titles only’ and still have your listing come up. Avoid the obscurity and confusion by being clear and upfront with your audience.
- Use a special character or six to help your title stand out. In addition to the asterisk (*) I recommend using a limited set of alt characters to attract eyes to your post. For example, a pair of right arrows ►►, diamonds ♦♦, or stars before a key word in your post can really do wonders to draw eyes. You can use these characters in your ad by copy-pasting them. - Never use low-credibility words. Craigslist readers are smart skeptics who don’t fall for dollar signs $$$ or ALL CAPS, and tend to not be enticed by the word ‘Free.’ Anything that seems too good to be true or smells like a dairy (cheesy or B.S.) won’t get a great response. Craigslisters are bargain hunters, though and are interested in limited-time discounts.
- Use the appropriate verbiage. If you’re posting in the real estate section, it’s okay to use industry terms like ‘W/D’ for washer/dryer or ‘A Space’ to describe the building class. I’ve found it’s not okay to use terms like ‘ROI’ (for Return on Investment) in the computer and creative section since most viewers in these sections don’t have a basis for this term. I used ‘Increase Sales’ or ‘Get more Customers’ with better results.

- Post your B2B service around 10am and 1:30pm. Since I advertise web design services, I know my audience gets to work in the morning, gets through their emails and messages, and finally gets settled to look for my services around 10. Right after lunch, it’s the same routine.

- Present a visually stimulating layout.Craigslist is covered with plain ads formatted using the default settings (Times New Roman font, text spanning the entire width of the window, and a meager – at best – photo gallery feature). By using colorful (but not obnoxious) graphics and formatting, you can make your ad appear to be more worthwhile. Since you’ve invested more time into making a great ad, your viewerwill spend more time reading it. Craigslist only allows some of the basic HTML elements to help you arrange your ad, but with a little skill and patience (or by hiring someone else to do it), you can have a stellar design that appeals to your target.
- Don’t go for the hard sell. I know you want to close your visitors by giving them all the best reasons to buy from you, translating features to benefits, handling objections, and closing all along the way, but DON’T. The typical Craigslist viewer isn’t looking for Pushy Joe to tell them what they need. I’ve had success summarizing a few benefits, showing my past work (on-page images of my latest completed websites), and putting my contact information on the page.
- Back up your title in your ad. Follow the lead of
your title. If a visitor clicked the title, they want more of the same.
Don’t surprise them – they spook easy. Expand on your title and provide a
call to action so they know where to go from there.
Tip 4) Run Multiple Ads.
There is always more to be gained by increasing your exposure. Craigslist has devices in place to make sure you don’t over-post (account posting limits, duplicate content algorithms, telephone verification), but you should take advantage of every opportunity to run an ad.
- Focus each ad on a single item or niche. Don’t use one post to describe everything you do – break it into categories. I used to have an ad that read: “Web Design, Graphic Design, SEO, and Internet Marketing.” Now I run 4 different ads (one for each service area), and I can target each one a lot better. Guess what… you get more views this way too.
- Write 3 slightly different ad variations so you can post daily. Craigslist limits a single ad to one post every 3 days. Instead of only advertising twice a week, create two additional ads with the same offering that are different enough to not be called ‘similar’ by their ad-checking scripts. This also allows you to test which verbiage works better with your audience. For example, if your second ad variation tends to get more attention, figure out what is special about it, and use that to mold your two other ad variations, in hopes of improving their conversion rates.

rather put off until tomorrow (or next decade) what they could easily do
today. Your website’s job is to motivate them to overcome their lazy
programming and actually DO SOMETHING today.
Creating an effective call to action is necessary to get your visitors to take the next step – contacting you, signing up for your newsletter, buying your product, etc. There are a few main techniques to achieve this, and I will detail them below:

By putting a time limit on your offer, it encourages your audience to take action or they could miss out. By saying ‘This Weekend Only!’ or another relevant time constraint, you’ll receive a much better response. This could be coupled with a ‘Limited Quantity’ or some sort of bonus gift or discount for taking action right away. Also, warning of a future price increase is another great technique to get them to take action.
Offer a ‘Risk-Free Guarantee.’
The average person does not like to take a risk, so to make it worth their while, take away their risk! Guarantee that you will refund their money if they are not satisfied and they’re much more apt to give you a try.
Make it easy for them to say ‘YES.’
Finally, once they decide that your offer is worth acting on right now, you must make it easy for them to let you know. For example, if the call to action is to buy a product on your website, make sure your checkout process is as hassle-free as possible, or you could lose business even after they decide to pursue your offer.

This is all very easy once you set it up the first time I promise.
33. Post a couple of ads per account and don’t post more than 3 in the ‘services’ section or you will be tracked and Ghosted. On the third day click re-post your ads and then try to create a few more ads. This may sound like a slow way to go about it but it you do this correctly you should be able to have dozens of ads up and running 24/7 within a week.
44. If you intend to create more than 10 accounts we recommend that you look into “Foxy Proxy”. It’s a plug in for FireFox and it will enable you to change your IP address in your browser. IP address are very inexpensive and they are being sold everywhere on the net.

How To Post On Craigslist
- The first thing to do in the, how to post on craigslist action steps, is to consider how many phone numbers you have access to. The current account creation process requires a valid phone number to be entered. Once you work through the sign up process you will receive a phone call or text message with a validation code.
- If you have access to 10 different phone numbers than you will need to set up 10 different emails. Go to http://www.gmail.com and setting up your free 10 email accounts here. Do not use any other free email accounts other than gmail. Once have 10 different email account that you use everyday to post from. You are essentially set up for 10 days or 2 weeks.
- Once you have set up your email accounts, go to Craigslist and create 10 accounts with Craigslist. Go to http://www.craigslist.org/. Click on my account on the left hand side. You will see a place where you can log in. Underneath that, it says don't have an account - Click on that. Follow the instructions. Once you get to a certain point, it will ask you to put a phone number in. Once you put that phone number in, you will receive either a phone call or text with the code you will need to enter into Craigslist in order to have a valid Craigslist account
- Fourth, you need to set up your ads. Never post the exact same ad twice - this includes your headline. Duplicate posts are NOT permitted on Craigslist. Try writing 10 ads and then sit down and try and get 10 different variations out of your original ads. This gets you 100 different ads! A common variation on the headline is to place a bunch of letters and numbers at the end. For example if your headline reads "Best Beef Jerky" alter it like so, "Best Beef Jerky________7r4f6FDe" & "Best Beef Jerky________Hw84HpF8"

How Many Ads Can I Post On Craigslist?
This is a topic for debate, but unless you are using auto posting software and are changing your IP address regularly (perhaphs every 3-5 ads) you should only post 3 ads every 48 hrs from one Craigslist account.If you post 3 ads on the same day from the same Craigslist account, your last 2 ads will get ghosted.
Clearing Your Internet History, Cookies & Temporary Passwords
When you active or log into your Craigslist account the site places cookies on your computer. Now, if you don't know much about cookies, they basically read, record and track data while you are browsing. Cookies are used commonly online and are a natural part of online technology - there is no need to fear. Cookies are not like a virus so will not do damage to your computer.So why information on cookies? Well all you need to know with regards to cookies and posting on Craigslist is that you must clear them after finishing with each account. You should also clear your browsing history, temp passwords and temp internet files.
Each operating system will be slightly different, so use these this as a guide. Open you computer's control panel. Go to network & internet. Internet options, then delete browsing history. Within that menu option you can select to delete your history and you want to check the box and clear all.
Sometimes the browser you are using is not the default for your computer. If this is the case try the following steps;

How To Get Your Ads To Stay On Craigslist
The common term used to describe the automatic removal of craigslist ads is, "ghosting."
If you have attempted to place an ad and are not able to see it visible on the live site, then you have had a visit from the green ghost.Ghosted means that Craigslist will act like your ads are posted but when you go to look for them, they do not show up.
Stopping Your Craigslist Ads From Ghosting
Test, test and then TEST again. Post 3 ads in 3 different cities then stop. I takes anywhere from 15 - 20 minutes for you ads to go live. If you go to the specific city and category and can see you ad live on the site, then you know what you did worked & you can run with that for a while.
If your ads are not visible, you simply start the process again.
How To Test for Specific Flagging Aspects
If you think it may be your link that is causing the problem, post an ad with a different link and see if it goes live. Perhaps try an image ad instead or test running your ad without the link at all.

Watch for Redirections
When you first click on the required ad on craigslist, pay attention to the redirections occuring as the posted url is loaded. You will be able to see these at the botton of your Firefox Browser window. Where the term 'done' is displayed when a page is loaded, so does it show you where you are being moved amongst. IP's
- Check what IP address your a using online at any given time, but most importantly for craigslist marketing, it is the location of the IP that is the most significant. Make your initial posts in the wrong city and you account will be flagged and you will never post a live ad to that account PERIOD. Once you account, IP, headline, content has been flagged...never try and use it again. Once flagged by the craigslist programs these resources are obsolete.
URL Shorteners
- There are plenty online for you to choose from. Simply google the term. Don't bother trying to use the ones that are known for being popular with internet marketers, like, viralurl, tinyurl, yatu etc...
- Try this one to get you started. Scroll down midway on the screen and you will see a list of "services not reviewed" - these links will take you to external URL shorteners that are less common with online marketers (well maybe until now - the flip side of sharing all your secrets!)
Buying Domain Names
For as little as a couple of dollar's you can purchase a domain name. (consider the cheapest options first) Set your domain up so that it frame redirects to another destination (your website or lead capture page for example). If you choose a unique name that has never been registered before this is better, cause then you know it isn't blacklisted on craigslist yet. This domain will do for craigslist posting for a while until it gets picked up by the bots. It doesn't matter what name you choose, but I wouldn't use words like 'make money' 'internet marketing' ....Linking To Other Ads

How? Here is one of my best tips, but it requires a little more investment on your part. If you are already considering purchasing software, auto IP changing cards etc you can digg a little deeper and give your ads a better chance of sticking by adopting this trick.
- Pay for a ad in one of the cities where craigslist is charging per post. Then you have a URL that is listed as safe on the craigslist system at least for the period that your payment covers. The prices vary from city to city so check around and find the cheapest city.
- Using this domain, create multiple sub-domains to use for your bulk posting submissions. Too easy : )
- Just be sure to check that your domain service provider allows unlimited sub-domains at no extra charge to you. If yours doesn't, simple, find one that does and use their service instead.

Put a Clickable Picture In your Craigslist ad Boost Sales
In all the years we have been posting on Craigslist we have found that if you use html in the body of your ad you are less likely to be removed by the auto bots. Craigslist is ran by about 25 people and they couldnt possibly be after you deleting your ads so they have bots that cruise around looking for issues to remove the ad. If you are a realestate agent or car sales person or a landlord then you know what im talking about. The solution is to create an image that people will click on and then be directed automatically to your website or anywhere you want the to end up.
This is very simple but it does take a little bit of skill. If you get lost you can call godaddy or who ever your hosting is with and ask them to help.
Step
1. Find a picture and open it with window paint or any program to edit the picture and put the words "CLICK
HERE" at the very top left. Then do whatever editing you would like.
2. If you havent downloaded an FTP then google filezilla and download it. Once you have downloaded it then
you are going to need some info about your website so that you can connect your desktop to the guts of
your website. You can call godaddy and they will help you.
3. Open filezilla and enter your information at the top. The program will run and when it stops the right side
of the screen will be your website and the left side is your desktop.
4. On the right side under "file name" scroll down and look for the folder "images" then double click to open.
5. On the bottom left screen go to where you saved the picture you are going to use and double click it.
This will automatically drop and upload it to this folder of your website.
6. Hard part is Over. Now go to Craigslist and open your account up or buy some new account here and
if you need another phone number go here.
7. Start a new ad and type in your title. If you want to add some symbols or pictures in the title click here
for the codes.
8. copy and paste this link into the body of your craigslist ad or you can even put it into your facebook and
edit it so that it is your website name and the name of the picture you created.
